Take the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) Test
Assess your urinary health and track the severity of BPH symptoms with our validated clinical calculator.
If you are experiencing a frequent urge to urinate, a weak urine stream, or find yourself waking up multiple times a night to use the bathroom, you may be experiencing Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). These are often caused by Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
The International Bladder and Prostate Symptom Score (IBPSS)—derived from the globally recognised IPSS—is a validated medical tool used by urologists to quantify the severity of these symptoms. More information regarding urinary symptoms is available on this website.
What Does the Score Measure?
Incomplete Emptying: Feeling like your bladder isn't empty after finishing.
Frequency: Needing to urinate again less than two hours after you last went.
Intermittency: Stopping and starting several times during urination.
Urgency: Finding it difficult to postpone urination.
Weak Stream: A thin or dribbling flow of urine.
Straining: Having to push or strain to begin urination.
Nocturia: The number of times you have to get up at night to urinate.
Why Use This Symptom Tracker?
Regularly tracking your urinary health is vital for effective management. Whether you are monitoring an enlarged prostate or evaluating how well a new medication is working, this score provides a clear baseline for you and your General Practitioner or Urologist.
